“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…
Working in the Time of Corona

Presenter: Will Braun, PsyD

Friday, December 4, 2020
3:30 – 5:30 pm

Therapists have been working remotely for many years; however, the threat of the coronavirus has forced clinicians who previously only worked in person to suddenly work remotely. Platforms such, FaceTime and Zoom, previously unknown to many therapists, are now part of our daily practice. How has COVID-19 changed the ways in which we practice? How has remote therapy affected our group members and us? How have our feelings and previously held assumptions about working remotely changed? What has been positive? What has been negative? Do we see ourselves continuing to use remote therapy in some form in the future?

Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to:

1. Describe two ways in which the sudden shift to working remotely has affected participants’ work.
2. Describe two ways in which working remotelyhas been a positive experience.
3. Describetwo ways in which working remotely has been a negative experience.
