Susan Conte, Ph.D., LCSW, presented at the annual meeting of the NY State chapter of NASW on March 11, 2011.  Her presentation, based on her research and clinical work, was entitled, My Body, My Biography:  Using the Narratives of Self-Injuring Women as a Path to Healing and Wholeness.

Gloria Batkin Kahn EdD, ABPP, FAGPA, CGP presented a workshop at the Eastern Group Psychotherapy Association's annual meeting in November on Applications of Interpersonal Neurobiology and Attachment Theory to Group and Couple Treatment. On December 11, she is also presenting at a NYSPA sponsored event which highlights various approaches to couples therapy. Her topic will be on relationally focused couple treatment.

In Memory of Saul Scheidlinger, Gloria Batkin Kahn EdD, ABPP, FAGPA, CGP has published an article entitled, Termination in Adolescent Group Therapy in the International Journal of Counseling and Psychotherapy (2010), 8, 53-57.

Kenneth Reinhard, PhD, ABPP, CGP, will be one of the trauma experts at the upcoming meeting of the Division of Gender and Cultural Issues of the Westchester County Psychological Association on Wednesday, March March 30, 2011, at 7:30pm.  This discussion will follow a screening of HIDDEN BATTLES, an intimate and powerful look at what it means to kill another human being during war, as told by men and women who have pulled the trigger.  See flyer for details.

Peter Taylor PhD, SEP, CGP, FAGPA has a new website, www.drpetertaylor.com, which includes information about his practice, his three gay men’s psychotherapy groups, and his Somatic Experiencing workshops for clinicians.  He and his partner, Roger Saint-Laurent, PsyD, SEP, CGP, have been pioneering the integration of Somatic Experiencing with group psychotherapy, and Peter expects to start a new co-ed group this coming fall that will utilize those principles.
