Carol Dallinga, LCSW, CGP, will be giving a workshop at the 2009 Annual Conference of EGPS entitled "Changing Needs for Changing Times: Adapting Your Marketing Strategies to Maximize Your Client Base" in NYC November 20 and 21, 2009. She will also be giving a half day workshop at the 2010 Annual Meeting of AGPA entitled, "Marketing and Networking Skill Building: Key to Thrive in a Changing World" in San Diego, CA during the week of February 22, 2010.
Craig Haen, MA, RDT, CGP, LCAT, is editing a book on creative approaches to the treatment of boys for inclusion in Routledge's series on Psychotherapy with Boys and Men.
Gloria Kahn, EdD, ABPP, CGP, FAGPA, was recently selected to be President of the American Academy of Group Psychology, the credentialling body for the ABPP in Group Psychology.
In February 2009 at the Annual Conference of the American Group Psychotherapy Association held in Chicago, Illnois, Gloria Kahn made a presentation on Building lasting couple relationships through separate group therapy for each partner.
Three months earlier, Dr. Kahn made a presentation entitled Enhancing couples relationship with a separate relational group therapy for each partner, at the Annual Conference of the Imago Relationship International, in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Kahn also presented at the Annual Conference of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, Washington, D.C. on Politics and passion of intimate relationships with couples and group therapy
Kenneth Reinhard, PhD, ABPP, CGP, has written the foreword to a new book on PTSD, My Private War, by Norm Bussel (Pegasus Books). It received a great review by James Patterson ,#1 NY Times bestselling author, and the paperback edition is set to come out next fall.
In this 30 minute radio program, Dr. Ken Reinhard, psychologist and member of WGPS, speaks on his 30 years of treating returning combat vets for PTSD and other anxiety disorders in a group therapy format. He discusses treatment issues of vets from WWII through Iraq/Afganastan.

Peter Taylor, PhD, CGP, FAGPA, and Margaret Postlewaite, PhD, CGP, FAGPA, were elected as Fellows in the American Group Psychotherapy Association at the AGPA Annual Conference in February 2009.
Rebecca Walkley, MSMHC has recently graduated from Pace University with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. Her internship included over 400 hours of group work with incarcerated men and women in maximum security prisons in the New York area.
This summer, July 2009, she facilitated violence/anger awareness workshops for Iraqi refugees in Amman, Jordan. The supporting grant was from Relief International, ri.org.
She will be giving a talk entitled "AVP in Amman Jordan" on September 8th, at 7:00 at the Purchase Meeting House in Purchase, NY.
